Ease of install!
Fantastic Lock with Quick and Easy Installation!I couldn’t be happier with the Kwikset Halo Touchscreen Lock! From the moment I opened the box, it was clear this lock was designed with the user in mind. The installation was incredibly quick and straightforward, even for someone like me who’s not particularly handy. The instructions were clear, and I had it up and running in no time.Once installed, the lock’s features truly stood out. The touchscreen is responsive and easy to use, and I love being able to control it remotely through the app. The ability to set temporary access codes and monitor who’s coming and going is a game-changer for home security.This lock seamlessly blends functionality with sleek design. Really slick lock and app
I like everything about this lock and app. It works exactly as advertised and expected.This is a very slick lock and app! The app work perfectly and the instructions couldn’t be too much better. Just follow them to the letter. I love this lock and the app. I was tired of running down to the garage (garage in my case) to make sure it was locked. Now, I get both status and notifications about the lock (locked / unlocked state) It was important to me that ALEXA controls the lock by voice which it does perfectly. I do kind of wish an unlock code (verbal) wasn’t “required,” but I understand. Anyone could open the garage lock if they simply say, “Alexa, unlock the garage” if they have access to any of your Alexa devices. The code prevents this. I also can’t leave it unlocked. The lock automatically (if feature is enabled) locks the lock after a predetermined interval. Anyway, this lock and the app, are just way too slick. Definitely recommend the lock and app if you need (or want) remote lock control for your building or any door for that matter.

Meh, has some wireless issues
Update from previous review. Not only does this lock have horrible wifi hardware in it, the software is also horrible. It can’t understand a long password for the wifi (a standard that’s over 2 decades old).The battery life is ridiculously short. And to change the batteries, instead of just sliding the cover off, you have to unscrew two tiny screws (think eye glasses screws) in the housing, which end up getting lost.The fit and finish is also pretty bad. The housing to the lock has a tendency to slip away from the door, leaving a gap between the top of the housing and the interior surface of the door.The noise from this thing is also stupidly loud. My previous Schlage smart lock was so much quieter and had so much better battery life. This thing sounds like an mechanical cow that’s dying. Yet another problem this thing experiences is that it “forgets” it’s calibration, which means it starts complaining that it’s jammed all the time. I have to re-calibrate it about once a month.The latest issue I’ve encountered is that the auto-lock no longer works. It used to lock automatically after a configurable period of time. Now, it refuses to do so, even though I’ve set and reset that setting multiple times.All in all, this thing is a huge piece of garbage.Oh, and if you’re from Kwikset, don’t tell me to call some support number where off-shore people reading from a script will only end up wasting my time. I’m not interested. Just do better.

Very simple as long as you follow instructions
I don’t understand how people are having issues with these. I’m a licensed electrician that performs work on electronics like these constantly. Instructions are very clear and simple to follow. Anybody would be able to install this, yes, even if you have absolutely no experience with door locks. Make sure that once you are done, or before you even start, you download the app and follow the on-screen instructions. I’ve always bought Kwikset door locks for the simple fact that not only they have a wide variety of products, they’re the only ones I’ve found that you’re able to change the barrel to YOUR existing key, as long as it’s the same size key. Therefore no locksmith needed, nor having different keys for every single door of your house. The process to re-key the lock literally takes less than a minute. The Kwikset app has options for different pass codes for everyone in the family, has options to automatically lock the door after determined time. You can also add to Google assistant, or Alexa device to lock and unlock code (voice has either have to be saved for certain person, or you’ll need to set up a code to unlock the door with voice assistant, I chose neither and don’t care for the option of unlocking the door with voice assistant, just locking is good enough for me). Really great design, easy to install, extremely easy to use, and numerous options to work it, my favorite is that I can unlock it from anywhere in the world as long as I have internet available, which is huge since I have people that come and go to the house, best part is you can set temporary codes for each person as well, and you will have a log of who unlocked the door, so if something happens you know who the last person was to unlock that door. I would give it 6 stars if I could, the only downfall for me (which is really not a problem) is that it doesn’t have fingerprints built-in, would have been nice to have that option, but not a big deal at all since the lock works phenomenally well. Thanks for all the great products, Kwikset.

Excelente, la recomiendo ampliamente, me fue muy facil instalarla y configurarla que luego resulta muy complicado, en este caso me fue muy sencillo y la cerradura trabaja perfectamente, obviamente como todo este tipo de cerraduras consume las baterías con cierta velocidad pero no mas que otras cerraduras electrónicas que he usado mucho mejor que 2 cerraduras Yale que he tenido y ambas dieron problemas en poco tiempo y se consumian las baterías a una velocidad increible Gran Cerradura!!!

Compramos esta cerradura por varias razones, una de ellas para conectarse al wifi y poder monitorearla. La aplicación tiene muchas fallas, en ocasiones no quiere abrir, a veces dice que está desbloqueada cuando no es así. No sirve de nada tener la aplicación con tantas fallas.Por otro lado, en dos días la batería se descargó un 20 %, es ilógico porque ni se ha usado tanto, va a salir mas caro reemplazar las pilas a cada rato.En su publicidad decía instalación gratuita y no es cierto Kwikset dice no tener convenio con amazon y no cubre ni la garantía ni la instalación.

Está excelente, abre y cierra remoto, la app funciona bastante bien. Solo tiene un gran problema que es el ruido, suena bastante fuerte el motor cuando se acciona. La batería le dura al rededor de dos meses. Considerar 4 baterías AA cada 2 meses.
