After looking at far too many toasters to replace my old one which had finally kicked the bucket, I settled on this because of the reviews and the price. I didn’t want to spend and arm and a leg, but also wanted a good toaster with slots wide enough for bagels. I’ve used it about 3-4 times a week for a month now, and get this….it toasts the bread! A few things of note:1. I recommend running it through a cycle before toasting anything because there’s a noxious smell that comes out the first time you use it. I haven’t smelled it since then though which is good.2. The attached pictures are from the first pieces of bread that I toasted on a setting of 4. As you can see, the top started to burn while the bottoms are barely toasted, so I had to pop it up before the cycle was over. I now use it at about a 3 and haven’t had any burnt tops, but I also still pop it up before the cycle’s over (mainly because I have a VERY sensitive fire alarm).3. Don’t expect uniformly toasted bread, but it’s nice and crispy all over, and gets the job done.4. You have to cycle through twice to even get it brown. I’ve not tried anything over a 4, but it will always pop up prematurely without even being browned. Simple solution: simply push the knob back down and it will cook on this second try. This isn’t a big deal for me because my last toaster did the same thing.5. The bagel function works exactly as it should by toasting only one side, and leaving the other nice and soft. I will say the downside is that it sometimes takes three cycles to get it actually toasted, but I don’t mind because I flip it each time for an even toasting.

It is a 2 slice toaster. It does have wide slots that fits bagels or even texas toast quite well.It does toast things with electric heat elements.It won’t bring you joy or fulfillment, thats what bread and butter are for.
