The toaster works great we haven’t burnt anything yet so that’s good ! Lol 😂 it looks stylish and fits in with our other appliances the only thing I don’t like about it is the bagel button it’s hard to tell if I’ve turned it on or not. It would be nice if there was a little light to indicate that the bagel function is on. Also o found the cord length to be a little short so it had to be fairly close to the outlet which limits its use on the counter top itself. It toasts golden brown on the right setting and the heat level seems to work just fine. It’s an overall great buy !

Thus far, this toaster has been working up to par and as expected. I like the classy look. I didn’t even need to change the settings it was on (it recommends to try it as they have it set and then if you need to, to adjust). I have not done large things (i.e. bagels), but it’s been perfect for my toast. The crumb cleaner/drainer things at the bottom works very nicely and I’m sure if I can find some of that computer air spray that people use for their keyboards I can clean the top groves even better to keep it looking really nice. Glad I purchased.Update***as of 5/8/15. About 5 days after the 30 day return policy I was unable to make any toast. I would push the lever down and it would pop back up. I tried maneuvering settings and just trying it different pressures to see if it was just a glitch, but it wouldn’t come to life. I knew it was out of the 30 days, but I contacted Amazon anyway, spoke with a live person and was able to return my product for a new one. I have not started using the toaster as of yet, due to a series of events. I will update if anything happens again. Seems like a decent product, just maybe got a bad one. Amazon is the best. Keep it up :)Update***as of 8/5/15: this is still going and works like I expect a toaster to work. I am grateful it’s still working after my breakdown earlier this year. I would buy again. I see there are LOTS of different ratings. Maybe you need to try for yourself. They are good to work with and returns are smooth.

Great toaster on a budget or small apartment
As the title says, this is a reliable toaster. Nothing fancy. It does have a crumb catcher at the bottom, which is easy to access and clean. Besides that, heats fast, cooks evenly. Im not a toaster expert doing test on toast colors, but id buy it again, or for someone for a gift for sure. I use it like twice a week so…. it does the job.

Lacks Quality
It does the job of toasting. However the quality of the entire toaster is very poor. It is so light that it jumps up from the counter when the cycle ends. Children find that entertaining. The sound at the end of the cycle can be heard in the bedroom. When simply sliding it along the counter 6”, it falls over. Shame on Black & Decker for using such substandard materials, which I assume were chosen to increase the profit. May they spend that profit well giving back to their employees! Don’t trust that Black & Decker means quality today as it once did.

I’ve had this little gem of a toaster for over 2 years, and it still works like a charm. It’s a simple, sturdy 2-slot toaster that takes up minimal space, which is great if you have limited tabletop real estate. The build quality is excellent, and will look good in any relevant setting. Considering the price, it’s really great value for money.You can easily choose to which level you want your bread toasted, controlling both heat and speed, and it’s very accurate. The grill toasts both sides of the slice, and glows bright when it’s busy. If you’re away, you’ll know by the comforting smell of grilled toast that fills your room.

The roaster was plugged in but off and caught fire one day less than 6 months after purchase. Luckily we were at home and could immediately put it out.One star because until then it made great toast:D
